Roller Skating!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We went to the church's Family Skate Night at the YMCA the other day. We were pretty excited to take Noah roller skating for the first time. We weren't even sure if they would have skates small of enough for him, but they did! Noah did a great job but it proved pretty difficult for Scott to get his skating groove on while trying to keep both Noah and himself upright:) In the end it was much easier to push Noah in the stroller...and no, I did not even attempt to roller skate...something about being really pregnant and having no sense of balance!

Play Time!

Two of Noah's favorite things to do are building blocks with daddy and playing with play-dough. Play-dough requires the making of many "snakes" and building blocks requires his daddy's expertise with castle creations! Fun times :)

Christmas with the Evans Family in CA

This year we spent Christmas week with the Evans Family in California. We had a great time visiting and celebrating the birth of our Savior. Pictures include our Christmas celebration in both Greenville at Scott's parents and in Grass Valley with Scott's extended family. You also get to see pictures of Noah's second debut at a shepherd in the toddler pageant!

Noah had his first snow tubing experience in Greenville at Grandma and Grandpa Evans's. He wasn't quite sure what to think at first but by the end he was cheering as he went down the hill...so cute!

Mom's Turn!

It snowed again! Overnight and this morning we got about 5 inches of snow which is very unusual for us here. Noah and I went out and built his second snowman...I must say I am proud of my 33 week pregnant self:) Noah loved it and even helped out this time. However, I must admit that the snowman lost his head about an hour and a half later...notice that the one Scott built is still standing in the background of ours a week after it was built! He is the contractor! Also, we must credit my mom for the snowman's face of broccoli, carrots and a red pepper... her contributions!

Family Center

A couple of months ago Scott built a beautiful piece, "The Family Center". It now stands in the foyer of our church and is used to display various pieces of literature focusing on marriage and family. It stands about 7ft tall at the peak and has crown molding accenting the top (currently partially covered by the garland:) I am so proud of Scott's God-given abilities to build and create beautiful pieces of furniture!

Sugar Cookies and Snow!

We had our first snow (and maybe only snow...) of the year! Noah was excited to see the white stuff on the ground and wanted to go out and play in it first thing this morning. I think Scott felt the exact same way! They got bundled up and Scott built Noah's first "noman" for him!

The other day Noah and I made sugar cookies together. He did a lot of the work. He had fun pushing down the gingerbread man cutter, putting the dough on the tray...and then eating the cookies!!!

Decorating the Tree!!!!!

Today was the day Scott down the lights and ornaments for our Christmas tree (thanks to the Browns!). Noah had a great time helping hang the lights and decorations. When it was all done we turned out the lights and ate dinner by the lights on the tree!

Christmas Tree Time With the Browns!

Our friends, Jim and Jami Brown, invited us to their place to pick out a Christmas tree! Noah had a great time running around with the dogs, throwing sticks to them and getting reacquainted with Jim and Jami. We found the perfect tree in no time! Thanks Jim and Jami for the gift of our tree!

We will work on decorating it tomorrow...lights and ornaments!!!!

Gingerbread House!

Thanks to Grandma Evans for the gingerbread house kit! Noah and I had quite the challenge today, or at least I did, in putting it together:) My biggest challenge was trying to put it together faster than Noah was eating the frosting and candy! All the colors of candy must have looked pretty exciting to him. It has created a little bit of a challenge in keeping him from eating off of it continuously...and sneaking pieces from it too!

Pay careful attention to the picture on the box showing how it is MEANT TO LOOK!

Step one...eating the icing while mommy tries to "glue" it all together! Notice the frosting in his face?

Step two: deciding which candies to eat next...

Step three: eating the candies off of the finished product...

So it doesn't look exactly like the picture on the box...but it tastes pretty good if you ask Noah!

about having a baby sister?" "Does he understand that a baby is coming soon?" These are questions we hear a lot and I think the pictures below show how pretty unaware he is! We got a box of hand me down baby girl clothes (so cute!) and he proceeded to pick the lavender gingham bloomers out and put them on his head :) He is pretty entertaining!

So if the ultrasound pictures are not of your own child then they can look kind of scary. But we already think she's beautiful and precious! It's not the clearest picture (it's a picture of a picture) but you can see her left cheek resting on her right arm. She didn't move much during the ultrasound so we think she was sound asleep here!

Trick or Treat!

This was Noah's first year for trick or treating and it was the highlight of our night! The first basic rule he had to be taught was to not walk into someone's house when they opened the door! We think he made the cutest pumpkin ever:)

Weekend at the Coast

Scott decided we needed a little weekend getaway and treated us to an overnight stay in Bandon. The weather was sunny and beautiful. Noah had a great time running around on the beach. The Strattons even came Saturday afternoon to hang out. Rylan and Noah had a blast!

Part of our trip included a visit to the Wildlife walk-through safari in Bandon. Noah's favorite part was all of the deer (Bambis) and goats that followed him around :)

Our Near Future!

One of the last times we were at Krystal and Will's house Scott and I got a taste of what's to come in our near future. As I held precious baby Anna, Noah had a meltdown and begged to be "held like a baby." Will captured the moment for us :)

Happy Birthday Noah!

We had a great time celebrating Noah's 2nd birthday! We had a few family and friends stop by for the big event. We ate pizza, cake and ice cream, played with bubbles and balloons, opened gifts and even stopped by the Wildlife Safari for a quick visit. There were lots of pictures to choose from so these are just a few...

The birthday boy was worn out! He fell asleep sitting next to his daddy just minutes after his bath :)

Pumpkin Patch

Grandma and Grandpa Evans took Noah to a pumpkin patch on Saturday (Scott and I got to go too:). He had lots of fun riding the hay ride and picking out a pumpkin, however I think his favorite thing of all was watching and talking to the farm dog!

Watering Flowers

Noah loves playing with the hose so I didn't have to ask him twice to help me water the flowers tonight:) He took his job very seriously and worked hard. He even had to take a couple of water breaks (by drinking from the hose) and was soaked down the front of his shirt and pants by the time he was done! He loved it though:)

One thing Noah loves is "working" with his daddy. Anytime a power tool comes on he is sure to plug his ears...so cute! In these pictures Noah is overseeing Scott's production of what will be the "family center" at the church, a combo bookshelf/display/brochure holder. Noah is actually standing in the piece Scott is building:)

This is one of my favorite recent pictures of Scott and Noah together. It captures the fun daddy and son have playing and being together. In an effort to not give in to another "watcha Bambi?" request by Noah, we decided to take him to a park in town. Noah is so blessed to have a daddy who loves him beyond words!

Speaking of blessings, we are almost at the halfway mark for pregnancy #2! After next week I will be 5 months along. A lot of people are asking us if we know what we are having...we don't find out the gender for another 4 weeks. Scott and I ask each other just about every day if it's a boy or girl...we are having fun imagining:)

Our First Blog!

How exciting! Be patient with us as we set out to create the most exciting blog site ever! We finally decided, after seeing all of our friends create blogs, that we better get started. Our lives are pretty exciting these days as Noah gets bigger, Scott pursues his business, and we wait for baby #2 to arrive, and we would love to share it with family and friends.
